Bach's famous double concerto

We recorded Bach’s famous double concerto for violin and oboe, BWV 1060, in the version for two violins. Our artistic director Candida Thompson and Simone Lamsma perform as solo violinists. The music film was created by Rietveld and Corbijn in their distinctive black-and-white style. Tickets for the stream are free. Donations are appreciated.

The American violinist William Hagen, who won third prize in the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2015, made his debut with Amsterdam Sinfonietta in Philip Glass’s Second Violin Concerto The American Four Seasons and received standing ovations after Philip Glass in India. The renowned Turkish pianist Fazıl Say puts his own spin on Mozart’s works in his Mozart-Say Suite. Ukrainian composer Silvestrov also pays tribute to Mozart with The Messenger, while Schnittke evokes the spirits of the old masters Mozart and Haydn. Tickets are free.
