Janine Jansen & Bach

Bach’s Violin Concertos

tot en met

Next year, the star violinist Janine Jansen will have her own festival in the Concertgebouw, based on Bach’s music, ranging from the solo sonatas to concertos. She will perform a number of violin concertos together with Amsterdam Sinfonietta.

Janine Jansen and Amsterdam Sinfonietta have enjoyed a long history of collaboration. The musicians are highly attuned to each other. Janine says it is a feast to work with the ensemble. ‘There is so much room for experimentation, some ideas are inspired during the actual performance,’ she explains. ‘The mutual trust creates a basis for making music with total freedom.’ The programme features diverse concerts by the great master. ‘Bach keeps you occupied for a lifetime.’ The star violinist considers his music perfect, spot on, down to the last detail.
