Mozart is a humanist. His music always keeps humanity in focus. This is also true for the piano concertos he composed in 1782. At Mozartfest Würzburg, Amsterdam Sinfonietta and William Youn will perform his Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major.
About his piano concertos, Mozart said: “The concertos are exactly between too difficult and too easy. They are very brilliant – pleasant to the ear – naturally without lapsing into the superficial. Here and there, only connoisseurs can fully appreciate them – but in such a way that even non-connoisseurs must be satisfied, without knowing exactly why.”
Pianist William Youn enjoys international acclaim for his subtlety, clarity, and emotional depth. With a broad repertoire ranging from Mozart to contemporary music, he proves himself to be both versatile and creative. He loves sharing his passion for interpretation and discovery with colleagues and audiences alike. Together with Amsterdam Sinfonietta, he will take the stage in Würzburg and at Oranjewoud Festival.
